But did find this (http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.anset.worm.html). Is this what you were looking for? If it is.....I hope you haven't infact ran it? Daizy ------------------ Hope this helps. [This message has been edited by Daizy (edited 03-02-2002).] jerryctx March 2nd, 2002, 02:35 PM I've left everything set to the initial values. If you have questions about specific settings I'll try to help. ------------------ Jerry CTX Computer (In)Security (http://www.ceepeeu.com) Fight UCITA (http://www.4cite.org) pompeyfan March 3rd, 2002, 03:59 PM Thanks Daizy, no I haven't ran that fortunately. Jerry, default leaves heuristics set to low, and scan for unusual signatures unticked, would I only play around with these settings if I strongly suspected that I had a trojan, if not under what circumstances would they be used? ------------------ cenz jerryctx March 3rd, 2002, 10:43 PM Both of those settings tend to give false positives when set to high. If you suspect you are infected you could try setting them up for a scan but confirm any "trojans" are real with another anti-trojan. BTW - For those of you who are using the English translation for the Ants' instructions on my web site, there is now an English version of Ants. There's a link to a site with the English download in the Trojan section of the Virus page on my site. You'll never find it on the German home page. ------------------ Jerry CTX Computer (In)Security (http://www.ceepeeu.com) Fight UCITA (http://www.4cite.org) [This message has been edited by jerryctx (edited 03-03-2002).] pompeyfan March 4th, 2002, 02:41 PM Thanks Jerry, I dont suspect trojan infection at this stage, so I will leave the setttings to default. I did try putting the settings to high just for fun, and it gave me a result of 12 suspected files, some of them really quite laughable. Again, thanks for your advice. ------------------ cenz virtualdr.com
