I have an ancient 486 with even older software on it that I need to get off and onto another PC.

The program is DOS based and called PFS File and PFS Report (copyright 1983). Does anyone have an old copy of this laying around? Or, how can I get it from one PC to another. We've tried a patch - no luck and downloading to a disk - again no luck.

Is there anywhere that specializes in locating obsolete software?

Thanks.

DOS apps are generally confind to the folder that they are installed in. You should be able to copy the files to disk. You could search and get a copy of "pkzip" to zip up the files.

You should look at and print out the contents of the autoexec.bat and config.sys files. You'll probably need some of the settings. DO you still have the manuals?
