I've recently been messing around with installing and uninstalling various components of MS Office 97. However I've now got to the point where I can't reinstall, having gone through a complete uninstall and reinstall. The reason for this reinstalling was because I was missing some of the data access components
Now whenever I try to do a complete install, everything runs fine up to the point where you acmsetup.exe runs. At this point it comes up with an error message along the lines of
"Setup is unable to open the file acmsetup.stf. Run setup again from where you originally ran it"
Can anyone help. I imagine one solution is to copy the setup files onto the original drive you setup from and run again or rename the drives.
I there a simple way of totally uninstalling and reinstalling I can do to prevent the software referencing the original setup drive
Cheers
