Word: dots instead of letters

Winword 97 german / SR-2 / on NT 4.0 WS

I get on the video some dots instead of letters.....

Has someone an idea ?

If you are refering to spaces showing as dots.......

1 On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the View tab.
2 Under Nonprinting characters, select the check boxes of the characters you want to display.

You can also turn the All option on or off by clicking Show/Hide from top tool bar.

I think I didn't explain the problem so clearly !!!

I don't get some dots instead of characters,
the characters are garbled, "built" with a lot of dots...., the printout on the contrary looks fine.

I hope you understand what I mean....

Sorry, I didn't think that was it considering you are using German version. I have just had questions before from other people reguarding that feature.
