I would like to uninstall the above. I still have "ME" and "98" install files on system. If I uninstall the "XP" will the system revert back to "ME"?

I installed over "ME". I uninstalled my Nortons. I had to go buy 2002 and that doesn't work right. I can't get it to detect my digital camera. I bought a scandisk and it won't detect that. I've checked for drivers and still no resolve. I have a Bearpaw scanner that only works when it feels like it. My explorer gives me an error screen, sends a mseeage to Microsoft and then boots me off the net. I never had any problems with "ME".

Depends on install option used.....

If you left the option to revert back by allowing XP to be removed, then you should be okay. Check in the Control Panel>add/remove section, see if the option to delete XP is there.

My first experience with xp upgrade I was not to thrilled because of issues. During the upgrade I left the option to remove. I did so and everything was back in Win98SE mode with no hitch.

Only thing to know is that anything that you installed under XP will not be there when you revert back, only what was installed with previous OS, unless of course you removed them.....

This was my experience, not sure what path you took to install XP. I did go back to XP under a clean/fresh install and been with XP ever since...I actually enjoy it!

Expect others to post, as I just added my side of the upgrade

Perhaps the Mod's can move your post from "The Internet" to "Windows XP"....you will be better served there.....
