I am setting up a new computer. I have explorer 5.5 installed and I am getting a " page cannot be displayed" error when I connect to certain sites (especially when I am on a banking site etc...). I didn't have this problem with my previous computer. I believe I have all the security setting suggestions from the error page set. The error page mentioned the 128 bit encryption. How do I check to see that I have this level of browser?
Thanks for the assistance
Pat

Source, Microsoft KB: How to Determine Which Version of Internet Explorer Is Installed] (http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q164/5/39.ASP) ... click About Internet Explorer on the Help menu to determine if the 128-bit or 40-bit version ...
For the 40-bit ..., "PCT/SSL Security Provider (Export Version)" is the description.
For the 128-bit ..., "PCT/SSL Security Provider (US and Canada Use Only)" is the description.
