[RESOLVED] NEC 286F laptop

I am in search of a power cord or adapter or battery charger for this computer. As far as I know it has Win3.1 on it. Have already contacted NEC and they can't find one. Anyone having any ideas, or (better yet) a power cord for this computer that they'd like to sell, please contact me. This was suppose to be a Christmas present for my son.
I didn't know it would be so difficult to find a cord. Thanks for your help!!!

I just sent you 2 emails about my problem. I have battery pak, but it's "dead". Don't have charger or power cord to plug into outlet.

Sorry, my computer at home is under repairs.
Haven't been able to get online for a week.
We're not allowed into yahoo/iwon emails at work, so I haven't seen your email.

Have you checked the search for a charger/power cord for the NEC 286F laptop?

Have you checked your local computer store?
Sometimes, they'll take a trade-in and hold it for parts.

Did you check ebay.com? There probably won't be much competition on the bidding.

Another is compusa.com They have an auction site also, but don't know how old the machine is - as to whether they'd have the part.

I've checked most of those places, except compusa. NEC couldn't find anything, but wanted to sell me a new battery $103. I can't understand why they are still selling the battery pak if they don't have a charger to go with it. I've already emailed NEC about that one!
