transfer of files

Hi,
I'd like to transfer files from an old laptop with Windows 3.11 and Word 6 to a newer one with Windows 98 and Word 97. Could you help? Thanks, Hanna

Copy the files to that you want to copy to a diskette and open it on the new computer, then copy the files in the diskette to the hard drive of the new computer, you should have no problem opening it because all versions of Word can open documents that were made by a previous version.
