from Taiwan (http://www.gentec.com.tw/95ins/gt_school/w95/a413-3-6.htm)

Looks like a quick and simple list of comparisions judging from the key words protection faults, bios, registry, handles of 640k limit, changes to system files (*.ini), improvements in API's, reading at 32bits a time,...

anyone have a browser/plugin with language translations? This is from Taiwan.

There are massive differences between 3.1 & 95! Its an operating system now!
The 3.1 manuals & box said Operating System. WRONG! Put the first disk in & boot to it. Cant right? then it is not an operating system. It is an Operating PLATFORM
95 implemented plug and play, add remove programs for easy uninstallation of programs(always a thorn in 3.1), standardization in dll's (version checking) & it is the operating system. You can boot to a 95 startup disk
A million & a half things have changed including the amount of hard drive space needed & basic system requirements
One thing to keep in mind though, is that the hardware is typically available about a year before there is software to make it work.
For example, there were plug & play cards in early 94. Nothing took advantage of the technology till Windows 95
USB?? Years old. Nothing made it work seamlessly like 98. 127 devices daisy chained, in theory
If you want the old interface its progman.exe for program manager & fileman.exe for file manager
Once you get used to it you will use 95+ quickly & dump 3.1 fast. No one writes for 3.1 anymore

3.1 don't offer anything compared with win98. If you have a knew computer your HD space is proberbly larger than 2Gb, 3.1 could't use HD over 2Gb without adding a partition.
The filesystem is a waste of space. Win98 is 32bit nowadays. just like NT/2000. Saves space.
I would under all circumstanses choose win95/98!
