Windows 3.11 Workgroups.

As I have just reciently acquired a used computer (7 years old) from a friend of a friend, it has Win3.11 on it as the OS. I am having problems with it as I hope to eventually upgrade my computer from instaling a new motherboard with the Pentium 2000 and expand the memory. This so I can use Win 98 at least! But that cost $$$ and I ain't got that sort of funds right now. At present, I am having a problem of transfering Word Document from the hard drive (c:/ dos) to drive b which is the diskette (3¼ Floppy Disk). Is there anyone out there who is knowledgable in how to do this, I have some files I need to save on diskette. Thanx.

Is it just a Word doc that you are having probles with or can you copy any files at all to the B drive?
Any error messages?

IC: It seems to be just this, no error messages are given, but when I click the icon of the diskette, nothing happens.

Do either floppy drives work?
DOes the light go on & the drive spin?
also try exiting windows & try to read a diskette & copy files to it from a DOS prompt
