There are a lot of computer viruses just waiting to attack your precious
programs on your computer.
With the ever increasing use of the internet, this is becoming a major hazard to avoid.
The majority of home PC's do not have any sort of virus protection and most users feel that they will not be affected by a virus and as such, do not invest in any kind of anti-virus software.
As most viruses attack executable files, here is a little tip for all PC users
who do not have any protection.

At the DOS prompt, type in attrib *.exe /s +r

This will make all the executable files on the PC "Read Only" which should
stop viruses from attacking them.
This may be a simple form of virus protection, but it is better than none at all.
