I want to put what I have on 3.5 floppy into windows. I want to create icons in the games group to open the files from there.

I interpret taht to mean you wnat the games that are on the floppy disk to be started by an icon in the Windows Games group. If that is correct click in the group. Click on the FILE menu and select New. Select Item and enter the A:\ path and filename. Add an Icon and save it. If it is a DOS program you should create a PIF for it with the PIF Editor. This allows you to specify memory usage and other technical info. In that instance use the pif filename, you give that game, for the Icon properties instead of the A:\ path and filename.
Windows won't like you if you click the icon without the disk in the drive. But Windows 3.1 is thick skinned about these things compared to Windows 95.

Thanks Eeyore! I did as you said and got all the files where I wanted them. They each had their own icon so I didn't have to use any of the generic ones. Thanks again!
