I have this archaic monitor and a that came with a unix box (NCD 20") that requires a refresh rate of over 110 hertz for any resolution under 640x480. Therefore standard 320x200-8bit VGA (60hertz) and text modes won't work.
I got it to work under Windows 98 using Scitech Display Doctor. However, I cannot set any text mode or standard VGA refresh rates.
I was wondering if there was any way to change the refresh rates for text or standard VGA so I can use my computer in DOS. I know the VGA refresh and text refresh rates are stored in the video BIOS, but I was wondering if there is a utility to byp****it.
BTW, Im using a nVidia RIVA 128 AGP video card.
