Adobe Type Reunion 2.0 Deluxe problems

My problem is simple. ATR2 will not start or respond or reunite the fonts, and will instead give me an error message:

"A Macintosh System error of type "-39" occured."

What does this mean, and how do I fix it?

It depends on a lot of variables.

I'd say start with Adobe's web site and see what you can find there first, particularly if you have upgraded your Mac OS at all, and especially if the problem started after that.
