Epson Stylus Color II Driver and OS8.5

Three attempts to install OS8.5 and various applications have failed to result in any ability to print to an Epson Stylus Color printer. The driver crashes with every application. What am I doing wrong?

I print from my PB G3 running OS8.5 to an Epson Stylus Color II without problem. I'm using driver v2.70. You might go to Epson's web page and check out the latest driver version available for download for the Stylus Color II.
