DirectX Video Capture Software

I have a full screen DirectX application that I want to capture for a demo. I have tried lotus screen cam but that just records the desktop behind the DirectX screen. Anyone know of a software product that will do it? A hardware solution is not really an option.

I forgot to mention, that I want to record a video (e.g. avi, mpg) rather than a static image!
