Hardware Raid 5?

I have inherited a Compaq Proliant 3000 server. I can't find the hardware RAID controller utility but I am told this machine has hardware raid 5. Is it possible the utility isn't installed? Where do I find it if it is installed?

When the server is powered up the SCSI adapter should report itself and the drives attached (at least the ones i've used do). Shutdown and restart and see what shows on the initial screens.

It really does depend on how the server was built. It it was built using compaq smartstart then the array utility is in the control panel.

If not you have to install it off a smartsmart CD.
