NT4.0 and HP4si

I am experiencing a problem printing legal size documents from NT to a HP4si printer. The printout takess a long time to print, and you hear the printer startup between each page. I have tried more memory, and this didn't help any suggestions?

right click the printer and click document defaults, somewhere in there (probably under print quality) there is a setting that says "send true type as bitmaps, make sure this is unchecked
