Cannot install Yahoo messenger

Hi all...
When I try to install Yahoo messenger, I get a "Cannot initialise installation. System Dll's corrupt or missing"
What do I need to do...???
I formatted my system a week ago..since then..I get this error...
PLEASE HELP...
