We're on an NT domain and Win 95 and 98 users cannot change their MS Networking password: error = access is denied.

I am the administrator and I get the same error when I try to change my password on a Win 98 machine. All works fine via NT workstation or server.

Any ideas on how to fix? I've tweaked the settings in user manager and none of the combinations seem to work.

you might want to remove the users .pwl file. Do a search for *.pwl and that should pull up the users password list file. Delete that file and reboot the machine. When he gets to the login prompt have the user type in the new password specified in Nt User admnin.

Hope this helps

first thing I think of is, the user dosnt have right on the Server end to change pass- Check all the shares on the server.
