NT4 Workstation Start menu items - go away!

how do I get rid of some of those items that show up in my Start Menu? You know how it says New Office Document, Open Office Document, etc. after you install Office97/2000 ? There's Microsoft Find Fast in my Startup tab that I want to get rid of.

Right clicking, delete obviously won't work on an NT machine. Start|Settings|Taskbar|Advanced doesn't show those items. How do I get to them?

You have to watch on an NT machine which set of Start Menu folders you are looking at. On an NT machine, the Programs list has a dividing line in it. Any folders above the line are defined in your personal profile while any of them below the line are in the All Users profile. This means you have to check two Startup folders.

Under your WINNT\Profiles folder you'll see folders for each profile on the system. In any of the profile folders there is a Start Menu folder.
