When I start IE5 and it autodials, I get a Cannot find Server or DNS error. If I close IE5 and run it again it works fine.

Also if I dial with before running IE5 everything is OK.

This just started after having some problems. Have re-installed IE5 with same results.

Any ideas???

I don't have a copy of IE5 in front of me just now but I think your problem will be solved if you find the Tools | Options | Advanced | Show welcome on logging on - or words to that effect. Deselect this option and your error will go away.

I have the same problem. No server when launching IE5, works fine if Dialup Networking invoked first, then IE5. I have the option HWMC suggested unselected. Our ISP suggested turning off Software Compressionion and PPP LCP extensions (Phonebook entries) but this didn't help either. Anyone know why IE5 in NT does not use the Dialup Monitor (even though Outlook does), and IE5 in Win98_SE does? Thanks
