Hi guys I have a NT box with 5 user licensing. When I check it's licensing in the Licensing manager I noticed that who ever installed the os checked it as per seat and 0 licenses. The network has been running slow and so I checked the event viewer and noticed this error "License Service, Error, None,N/A, Main, The product Windows NT Server is out of licenses."
So I went and added the 5 cals. Now today I am still getting these errors, and when the network is non-active...4 in the morning....any ideas?....I hope I don't need to re-install!!!...and why would the clients be able to access the server if the wrong number of licenses ( 0 ) were installed.....Thanks Samurai!!

I'm no expert on NT but it sounds like you better wipe your calender for this weekend

Hi,

NT only allows the per server to per seat swap, but only once, if the licence details are not entered correctly, then as mentioned, a complete install is required. Sorry, no Happy Christmas this year...DOH!!!!
