DNS Services trouble

Recently I had to do a reconstruct on a server running DNS services do to its inability to startup.. The message I kept getting was unable to find file error.. I analyzed the directory and located the DNS.exe in the system directory.. Has anyone eencountered this and know a better work around than reinstalling the whole thing.. I attempted to remove the service and add it again but it didnt work.. Any help appreciated..
