Print directly to Bitmap

Does anyone know of the existance of a tool/printer driver that can be used to print documents directly to bitmap-format (bmp, gif,jpg, etc) instead of to the printer or postscript?

There is an application called Graphics Workshop, which can convert files from one format to almost any other format, this may do the trick. If you are in the UK, you can obtain the software from Public Domain Software Ltd, on 01892 663298
