I press the "print screen" button, then open a program like word and paste (edit>paste) it into the document.

Hi Scomike,
There are various programs that will allow you to copy the entire desktop, or just the active window, or any portion of the screen that you select. One such program that I've used for several years to do so is Mr. Snappy 95 (http://www.zdnet.com/downloads/stories/info/0,,0001OQ,.html) and it does all that I've ever needed in such things. Though the name has 95 in it, it works equally well on Win 98 systems.
Happy computing! http://discussions.virtualdr.com/biggrin.gif

you can also go to http://www.techsmith.com and download snagit. Snagit is a screen capture program that you can make gif, jpg,BMP files etc.

Try PrintKey 2000, you can capture the entire screen or any rectangular area you like. http://www.infinitejoy.com/aucs/PrintKey.html
