Sometimes programs removed aren't all removed. Search your computer for Google Chrome and remove anything found. This really isn't an Internet Related problem. This is happening on your OS, so if you'll tell me which one of those you're using, I'll move this thread to the correct forum. themanwhowas April 12th, 2009, 11:18 AM if you're clicking on the IE icon and it asks what to open with you got real problems. If however, you're clicking on a shortcut to a webpage which uses the IE icon then you just need to right mouse click the icon, go to properties=>general tab. There is a section "Opens with" with a "change" button. Click the button and select Internet explorer from the menu. You only need to do this once to one of each file, ie, changing one htm and one html file will allow all htm and html files to open with IE. smith_ April 13th, 2009, 02:05 AM You can also change the file type. Right click the Internet Explorer any shortcut of web page then Go to it's properties and change the file type to Google chrome to Internet Explorer. Now press apply and OK. Next time it will not show your open with option. virtualdr.com
