deleting bookmarks in safari

how do i delete bookmarks in safari.
[amazon .etc etc .all the the bookmarks that did come with safari .but not my own bookmarks

Select any bookmarks or collections you want to remove. Select Edit | Delete or right-click and select Delete. If you change your mind, choose Edit | Undo Remove Bookmark.
