Watch Images from USB pen on TV

HI can u help me. How can I watch images such as avi. xvid form my USB pen on my TV. My TV has 2 usb slots but i cant figure out how to oepn them i guess i need a special program. Anybody done this if so please let me know.

Check the manual for a setting that will tab the usb key and play the .avi's.

Then again, you may have to put it on a memory chip.

I have only seen one able to do that though. I have no idea as to the brand or how much my daughter paid for it either. But I do not thing there are many that can do either.

There are TV's that can recognize thumb drives?

Hers does. It is a huge, about 7 foot wide, and it maybe has a entertainment center as a intergal part and that is what is able to use the thumbdrive. She opened her manual, made a bunch of selections and we watched the grandkids on the tv is all I know.
I do know i had to burn the video to a data dvd for her.
