Is there any preference that can be set on this laserjet printer or in the HP software that will make it print only in black ink? I don't want to use color at all.

Does it have seperate cartridges and will allow you to take out the color ones? ginky4 April 2nd, 2008, 09:24 AM If I go into Printer Properties, Color Management it is set to Automatic for color management. If I select Manual for the color management I can then choose my color scheme but I am not sure which color scheme will make the printer use only black ink. Here is a screenshot of my selections. jdc2000 April 2nd, 2008, 09:37 AM You shouldn't need a color profile setting. There is usually a checkbox in the printer setup dialog on one of the tabs to select printing in black only. virtualdr.com
