Acronis true image 11

There are many recommendations on this Board for Acronis True Image for the purpose of backing up (in my case to an external USB Hard Drive) and restoring data if needed.
My reason for posting is that I see there recently is a new version 11, but v10 continues to be offered, even by Acronis.
Is there any reason to chose v10 compared to v 11?

I don't follow all the ins and outs of TI (I use something else) but I feel it's safe to assume you are better off with the latest version. Development of Version 10 is ended and whatever issues may have existed for it will remain... permanently. My rule of thumb is to never start out with an older version of anything unless you have very specific , knowledgeable reasons for doing so. (An example, I run older versions of free Zone Alarm. The later versions provided nothing I wanted and were bloated beyond belief.)

Thanks to all. It looks like there are some problems based on the Forum link provided by buf. But I did not go back far enough to see if they are more or less than with v10 or v9.

I have no qualms with Version 9; build 3854. It has saved my bacon several times and I haven't seen any reason to upgrade.

I've used 9 on XP with no problems, at the time i was running 3 hard drives, long-story short 2 went bang, i had imaged just before, 20 minutes later i was back up and running, then when i made the move to Vista i used 10 for a while, made a boot image, and just do my data backups and relax. No problems with either, and don't feel the need to switch to 11 just yet.
