hi,

i'm running outlook 2000 on xp.
i'm having a problem with printing certain messages.

when i double click on an email that has the message in HTML, i can select print from the file menu and print a highlighted selection from within this email.

if i double click on an email that has the message in Plain Text, then select print from the file menu, i get a different window where the only option is "memo style". this window does not allow me to print a highlighted selection from within this email.

the issue appears to be consistent with HTML vs. Plain Text emails. is there a anything i can do about the plain text emails? or is that dependant on the sender's settings and my only course of action is to copy and paste the highlighted section into Word.

tia,
dave

Try clicking the forward button on a plain text mail - then click FORMAT and change it to HTML..

Outlook 2003 does the same thing. Apparently, Bill Gates thinks that if you are still using plain text e-mail, you don't need any fancy print settings. There doesn't appear to be a way to change this behavior.
