Hello again everyone...
Not sure if this is the right place to put this question but here goes. I was wondering if anyone knows of a VERY good DVD building program that after it is done(burned) plays easily in a home DVD player, with out delay at start up. I have used cyberlink software and Nero software, both have had some issues.
thanks

What were the Nero issues?
Are the dvd blanks you are using compatable, + or - , with your dvd player?
I have to use DVD+Rs to be compatable with all of my players.

I use Ulead DVD Movie Factory 3. (I think it is upto 5 now, but i stick with what i like)
It's pretty simple to use, and everything is done in steps, you can author direct from a disc, camcorder, or hard drive, and add menus and stuff.

Standalone DVD players are often pretty fussy about what they'll play. I agree that using software designed specifically to create DVDs (not just as an added option) is the most foolproof way to go.
I've tried making DVDs with Nero, Pinnacle and Ulead and have found that Nero, although an excellent program isn't quite as reliable in the DVD authoring dept.

so what program do you suggest to author DVD's?

I had equally good success with Ulead and with Pinnacle. I found Ulead a bit simpler to figure out though and some users think the latest version of Pinnacle is a bit buggy but I haven't used it yet.

I just bought unlead and started using it, made one dvd so far and when I played it in my home dvd player it started playing in about 8 to 10 seconds which in my opinion is pretty good. So I will see how that goes as I make more. I will look into Pinnacle.
thanks for the reply.
