graeme, Welcome to Virtual Dr! :)

The manufacturer of the wireless PCI card recommends that you disable the Wireless Zero Configuration in Windows XP. If you haven't already done that, then you should. You might be able to use the wireless settings built in Windows XP to configure the wireless network rather than using the utility.

To disable the Wireless Zero Configuration Service, follow these steps:

1. Click Start, Run, type "services.msc", then press ENTER.
2. Scroll down to Wireless Zero Configuration and double-click on it.
3. Choose Stop and then Disable the service.

If you have another PC that is connected to the BT Voyager 2091 router, then it might help you little by comparing its settings for configuring the new PC.

Does your router support WPA? If it does, you should be using it. Your card seems to support this feature. If you have other wireless computers that have wireless cards that don't support WPA, then use WEP. This page will help you configure your network with WPA security.
