I currently have photo story 3 for windows and am running XP. I can make up my video with jpeg images and music and they play well in media player and burnt well to a vcd. Problem is now i want these videos on dvd, and when i goto use nero it keeps saying "No compatible file found" i found a plugin for nero that was needed installed that and still nothing.

The file format as to which photo story saves my video is a wmv file. I have tried converting it to a mpeg and an avi and still with the plugin for nero and the file being converted i still receive "No compatible file found". Please can any help me to resolve this issue without having to use a different program to make the video. i need a way to convert my video file which is saved as a .wmv file to enable it so nero will burn my video onto dvd.

It seems Nero is looking for a bup, vob, or ifo files... at least mine is. I have Nero OEM 6.3.1.26... Nero wants to make their money
I found this plug-in that allows you to burn MPEG2... but they want you to buy it
http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/enu/DVD_Video_Plug_In.html

You might also be able to burn video with this for free: http://www.softpedia.com/get/CD-DVD-Tools/CD-DVD-Rip-Other-Tools/Video-DVD-Maker.shtml

I can not find a converter for MPG to those file types so you might have to buy new software or the plug in if you want to be able to burn MPG2 to dvd.

It also seems to me that, from my studies, OEM versions dont support DVD burning except for those formats I listed above until you buy the plug in.

You may want to go to ebay and buy an upper version of Nero ROM or some other dvd burning app.

Also have a look at the guides/tutorials on this site. It's quite likely there's a freebie program you can use before you spend any cash.

You can reconvert these files to Mpeg using ISO buster then do what you will with them. Tutorial here: http://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/141726.php#vcd
