i have just installed Vista Beta 2 build 5308 and think it is very nice. well set out and i love the glass effect. i was also surprised at how easy it was to install compared to XP and how it automatically configered almost all of my hardware. only major problem is i don't have any sound as apparently it's not installed. so naturally i went to install it with the drivers i had on cd only to realise my DVD drive was not recognised at all. i searched for the drivers for it but i could not find any. has anyone else had any problems like this? it's a pity as windows recongined all my other stuff, HD's, Ipod etc. also i cannot get my TV card to work which is a shame as i have never used media centre before but i seriously doubt i will ever be able to get the drivers for that.

EDIT; well i managed to get the dvd drive working but the sound drivers are still playing up :( .

P.S. how do you use 'flip 3d windows'?

There isn't much you can do about it, you just have to be patient and hope that the drivers will be included in a later release. You can try WinXP drivers for your sound card, though I haven't had any success myself.

FYI-> ATI has beta video card drivers for 5308. Made a nice improvement for me....

well i have an Nvidia card so i can't use the ATI one. but when i went to update my driver i saw that Nvidia has also released a new driver for 5308. but as i have never had the previous versions i don't know if it is any better. just a pity Asus don't have vista drivers. but i have another sound card lying around so i might try that to see if it works.
