WMP playback problem

I have been having a problem in replaying videos downloaded on p2p on wmp10. This mpeg file i have which is over 150mb large only plays for 28 seconds. Heres the thing... if i allow it to play through halfway or so, and I use the nav bar to go back in the video, it will show parts of the video that haven't been viewed yet! So i assume the whole file really is there but the length codes are messed up. I would appreciate any help you can provide! thanks in advance. :)

Unfortunately that's the sort of behaviour that often happens with corrupt video clips.

Usually the easiest way to deal with them is to use a player that's less likely to balk at corrupted clips.

VLC player www.videolan.org is probably one of the best for that purpose (good player in general actually). That's what I'd try (& it's free)
