We have to PAY for AVG now?

What's the deal, I was getting ready to install AVG, and it asks for a serial number? I went to their website, and apparently I have to pay 35 bucks for it now? I thought it was free for personal home use??

Notice EVERYTHING that was once free, isn't free anymore? Might as well go to Office max and just get NAV instead.

I think you're looking at the Trial version. The free version is just below it on that page.

Yes, when you open AVG , it should say AVG Free Edition on the title bar.

When you install it there is a licence field , but it is already filled in automatically.

The file you downloaded and clicked to start installation, check it is called something like avg71free_371a669.exe
