I have a Lynksys Router. and A Lynksys swtch. 104456 September 26th, 2005, 07:20 AM You can connect it via the router with a CAT5 cable to X-Box live if that is what you mean. liam858 September 26th, 2005, 07:21 AM Ditto on the above, pretty simple, instructions here: http://www.copying-xbox-games.com/networking-xbox.php BTW Welcome to the Forums.:) Liam Pookaki September 26th, 2005, 07:22 AM thank you sir...I was actually hoping that you can help me with a bridge. Bridging my xbox....I have A Router connecting to 2 computers and a switch. the switch connects a third comp and my xbox. how would I go into the computer and Get my Xbox into the network? I was hoping that I can access my xbox through my comp.. I hope that made sence.... 104456 September 26th, 2005, 07:31 AM Erm...........X-Boxes hard drives contain proprietary copyright material I don't think we can go into that here. Pookaki September 26th, 2005, 07:38 AM I do not want to mod, manipulate, or do anything to the hardware OR software of my xbox. When I play Halo 2 on xbox live We get Cheated ALOT. and Frankly im getting sick and tired of it. I heard that their was a thing called "bridgeing" so that you get "Host" in Matchmade games of Halo 2. If I get Host people cannot cheat. and Problem solved. BTW the process Modding the xbox is not illegal, but if you have copied or pirated games. then it is. 104456 September 26th, 2005, 07:50 AM A quick search brings up this site: Q How do I set up a game with rules that I choose for Live play? A Instead of using our matchmaking system, you can start or join an Arranged Game which allows you to customize rules, maps and equipment to suit your tastes. Invite friends to join you and form a party, noting that the Arranged Games have no effect on your overall standing in the rankings. http://www.bungie.net/Games/Halo2/page.aspx?section=FAQInfo&subsection=FAQs&page=1 Halo2 matchmaking overview (http://www.bungie.net/Games/Halo2/page.aspx?section=FAQInfo&subsection=matchmaking&page=1) Hope this helps. Pookaki September 26th, 2005, 07:57 AM thanks for the help but you dont quite understand, lol. that is a totaly different thing you got there. Arranged games are games you can only play with your friends. Matchmaking throws you into a pool of all the players on xbox live. then it chooses the best matches. After it has done that it chooses the best suitable "host" for that game. the host acts as the server of that game. I want to know how to set up a bridge with my comp and xbox. so that It choses me as host every time. edit* sorry I posted this in the wrong part of the forums :( liam858 September 26th, 2005, 08:48 AM How to bridge your Xbox to the internet through your PC: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/229233 Hopefully that should be what you want to know.
