Every time i try to open Project 64 to play zelda it says "Direct 3D failed to intilize your HAL Device, make sure you have a properly configured 3D Graphics card compatible with Direct3D 6.0"

I have a radeon 9200 graphics card i've tryed to fix it the way it says on most forums by configuring my graphics card using ATI Catalyst and its now configured for direct3D and it still doesn't work. Please can someone help me?

Welcome to VDr :)

If Catalyst is configured okay, it may be a Direct X problem, what version do you currently have installed? (Start|Run|dxdiag)

Do you have the latest drivers (Catalyst 5.9) for your Graphics Card?

To see what version of Catalyst™ you currently have:
a. Right click anywhere on your desktop
b. Left click on the ATI Catalyst™ Control Center option
c. Click the Help Menu Option
d. Click on the Graphics Software Tab
e. The second line references the Catalyst™ Version installed
f. If the installed version is out of date, download the latest version.

it claims to be version 6.14.10.5140, is that late enough?

Yes, what Operating System are you running? the only other things you could try now would be to uninstall/reinstall the games, or uninstall/reinstall the graphics card.

If running XP, uninstall the card from device manager and reboot.....let windows pick it up on boot and reinstall.
