I've been running the beta of IE7 for Windows XP for a week now. So far I like it a lot, in fact I've virtually given up using FireFox since I installed it.
I've found that using Favorites can sometimes cause it to crash, but other than that it's been rock stable. Has anyone else had problems using the Favorites menu?

Can the address/tool/tab bars be re-arranged? as in move the address bar below the toolbars, and the tabs up?.

MYIE2 still looks much better then that
it would still be nice to mess with but I wont be trying it seeing as it requires SP2..

No, the bars can't be rearranged (or at least I can't see any way of doing so). I've soon got used to them being where they are though.
You should get SP2 anyway Byan, it'll make you much more secure.

Ok, cheers for the feedback.

Ditto, on that idea.

I am just too lazy..; I would have to spend a day getting all the services I don't need disabled and I just don't feel like it
I don't even have an AV installed, they are just too slow.., a firewall is really all the protection anyone needs. that and know how to identify if you have become infected and know how to deal with that
I did used to scan my machine periodically for viruses at trendmicro.., but weekly turned to monthly and monthly turned to I havent done it since like mid-spring

What major differences in advantages/disadvantages do you see so far with IE7 Supersparks?

The back/forward buttons are two small for my blind self.
Being a long term IE guy, I haven't gotten use to the tabs. Have to right click and select close. I just as soon have seperate browsers open.

I love the tabbed browsing, which is the most obvious difference. I like having the search box built in as well (it currently has a choice of 5 search engines). But I'm hoping that the main advantage will be with security.

Could you tell me where to go to down load it? I would like to give it a go. Thanks.

To get hold of IE7 legally, you need to either apply for the beta testing program at www.connect.microsoft.com, or you need to have an MSDN or Technet subscription. Later betas will be made more widely available.
