hi
if you have a doc file and say
2000 pics in there

you know that some are say 3 or 4 of the same pic

is there any software that can identify all the copies

so you can delet the one s you don t need in there

thanks for advice

I m sure I had this software a long time ago

but would like to have it again

jessinlove--My guess is no.
You cannot have more than one file in a folder with the same file name. So unless you have named the duplicate images "pic1", "pic2", "pic3", etc. there is no way for Windows to easily identify the duplicate pics in a Search (or in a program written to delete the duplicates).
If however, you have named them as mentioned, then you can search using "pic*" or write a deletion program using "pic*". The deletion program, of course would delete all such images-- leaving you with none.
I think you will have to find and delete the duplicate images manually.
Maybe I am wrong and someone else can tell you how to do it.

thanks for reply
but I m sure I had some software once that

went through the pics and brought up all those that were the
same
it had nothing to do with file names

maybe it was some trial software I had

it would be useful cos physically its not easy to go through
1000s of pics and find 2 or 3 of same pic

General Winters--I've learned something. Sounds good.
This site has an old version suitable for Win98/ME. http://www.ezgoal.com/graphics/graphic/f.asp?fid=15139&list=graphic+software
Seems to be free.
And then there is ImageDupeless for the same price as d'peg but with 30-day free trial.
