For IE - the Google Toolbar has a pop-up blocker option.

Proxomitron,Firefox plug-ins like Adblock,Shoot the messenger by GRC.com,AD-Watch [part of Adaware pro] and a decent firewall.

I used the Google Toolbar has a pop-up blocker but I couldn't play the game at pogo because I unmark the blocker but it doesn't work.
