Hi guys,

I just uninstalled a load of programs I don't use any more, including a couple of programs that appeared to be spyware. I also ran Ad-Aware and Spybot on my system.

I restarted and I now get the blue-screen STOP error which says:

MULTIPLE_IRP_COMPLETE_REQUESTS

I can find out more info on the numbers if you need me to.

During the uninstallation of some programs, I got a message saying that a file needed to be removed that could affect other programs (or words to that effect). Do you think this might have anything to do with it?

The latest hardware I have installed is the GeForce graphics card detailed below. I had teething problems with it in some games, but put on some slighly earlier drivers (compared with the latest ones I installed to begin with).

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I'm thinking that updating Windows XP Pro by booting from my Windows XP CD might just get rid of it, either overwriting the current Windows XP files, or attempting to Repair the current version.

The Stop: 0x?? error code is like a "key code" to the solution. It can be searched for here:

Hi, thanks for the reply. I search the Microsoft website but didn't find anything useful, so I am attempting to Repair the current Windows XP installation.

MULTIPLE_IRP_COMPLETE_REQUESTS is typically caused by a bug in a driver (which can include firewall software, antivirus and other low-level tools).

Thanks for the tip, I'll bear it in mind if it happens again.
