Looks like NTL here in the UK are really ramoing things up:

300k --> 1Mb @ £17.99pm
750k --> 2Mb @ £24.99pm
1.5Mb --> 3Mb @ £37.99pm

Looks like there will be a £25 admin fee to switch, well worth it to me!!

See here (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2004/11/03/ntl_q3_04/) for more details...

1Mb on PlusNet is £14.99 per month - although you buy the usage you want on top of that. My 3Gb a month takes it to about £18 a month from memory.

There's a link on my webpage @ www.stewarta13wsb.plus.com if you want to check it out. I've found them great and they seem to keep winning awards too - Which? had them rated very highly as well.

Apart from prices though, I gather from friends and family that NTL are awful for service, reliability etc ?

I cant find any link on your webpage to PlusNet, nice pics tho :)

Here's the lowdown on NTL, anyone using NTL would agree:

Reliability is quite good, almost never get loss of service. Been knocked off probably 2-3 times in 3 years.

Service is 'typical'. 1st line support is absolutely useless, 2nd line support is much better.

On the whole, I think NTL are quite good, I have no problems with them.

Delighted to hear NTL are working for you - if it ain't broken etc., etc. :D

There should be a banner right down the bottom of my (first ever) web page... struggling a bit with it :o but I'll get there!
