Hi,

For an employee presentation, i need to create a chart like the one attached. It's terribly hard to create it in PowerPoint, Excel, etc.

The rating scale works with 1 being the best and 5 being the worst. so the max has to be 1 and the minimum has to be 5 which Excel does not accept.

Then, there has to be a line (such as the mean which in this case is 3) relative to which the other values are plotted.

How do i create such a chart?

thanks a million,
devang

Double click on the Y axis to bring up the "Format Axis" dialog box. Click the "Scale" tab. Specify Minimum as 1 and Maximum as 5. To make it work you must checkmark "Values in reverse order".

As for the line that cross at 3:

You can specific to not have "Major Gridlines" when you go thru' the Chart Wizard. Then use the Draw tool to add a straight line crosses at 3. The line will be integrated into the graph meaning it moves with the graph.

If you foget to eliminate the gridlines when making the chart you can always just right click on one of them and select "Clear."
