change from workgroup to domain

hello all

i have a network with 2kserver running as the domain controller
i also have a win98 machine previously running as a workgroup member, how do i change the 98 pc to a domain'

i did networknieghborhood>properties>highlight client for microsoft networks>properties>checked the box logon to NT
domain and changed the other box to the domain name
instead of the workgroup name. its not working

what have i done wrong thanks john

Do you have the 98 client as well as the user in the Active Directory?

hello

i am sorry to say that my 98 pc has temporaraly bit the dust but before it died i do believe i did add the 98 pc to the computers group and i always log on as simply administrator with the same password on all machines as soon as i get the 98 pc backup and
going i'll post back tommorow i hope
