Hello, I wanted to know is there something that will prevent me from opening links or right clicking links.
I was using popup popper , I thought maybe it had a bug, even un-installed the program. I updated avg and ran it. Ran hijack this, ran SPY-BOT AND AD-AWARE 6. Ran shredder too. I am finding nothing.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Did this continue after rebooting at least once?

Yes, I got rid of the pop up stopper, and rebooted, it still continues. sometimes freezing the whole web pages.

Can you post your hijackthis log?
Also, I would be looking to get some more RAM as you are seriously short on it. XP needs at least 256 to work efficiently. Looking at what you posted, you have little virtual memory too, so your system will be seriously slow as it is using the page file continuously.

You can go to www.blackviper.com where you will find some good tips on minimising your memory usage, which is probably aggravating the problem you are having.
Rescan & put a check next to this

Another thing to just try is go to internet options/advanced scroll down till you find 'enable third party extensions' & uncheck it. If it makes no difference, go back & reset it.

I tried to do what you said to do. with no results either way. I still can't open any links or right click on one, it just doesn't open anything.

Do you have the latest service pack for IE installed? If not go & do a microsoft update. Barring that, you may have to uninstall/reinstall IE.
