Hello Experts,
One of my cousin is trying to configure a windows 2000 server network in a test lab with 9 clients .

The clients consists of:-
a) 4 Windows 2000 Systems
b) 2 Windows 98 Second Edition
c) 2 XP Professional
d) 1 XP home (I read somewhere in microsoft that xp home cannot be part of windows 2000 network )

He requested me to provide me some step by step guides .
I googled it but the links I got were relevant to peer to peer home network not for server based networking .

May be I am searching the wrong Way ..

Can u experts help me to locate information (easy to follow /setup ) to create a windows 2000 AD based network consisting of 2000 Pro /9x / XP clients . I know it is stupid to ask for such kind of information in this forum. But beleive me I have tried , and things are not not getting my way.

Please help me to find the information.

Every bit of information from u will be highly appreciated.
Any tips that i have to remember while creating this mixed network .
Looking forward for responses..
Thanks

ecross

All versions of Windows can be networked. What you probably heard is that XP Home cannot join a domain. It cannot to join a domain but it can connect to a domain and access domain resources. For more details, see the following links.
