Computer gives off static sound....

Hi,
My computer gives of crazy static noise while listening to music! The thing is, I installed the Nvidia Nforce drivers, and the problem is fixed...But the next day I come on the computer, it's back to being static...What's wrong, anyone know? Need help BIG TIME, thanks ahead.

1.8 GHZ AMD Athlon, 1 GB of RAM. Windows XP

Some more details of your system might be necessary for us to really help you, such as your computer model or motherboard details, and the type of soundcard if it is not the on-board sound provided on the motherboard.

As a first suggestion, crackly sound on music CDs can be caused by using Digital CD Play. Check in the Properties of your CD drive in the Device Manager, if the Digital Play option is enabled, uncheck it and see if this makes any difference. The CD will then play over the audio cable connection that should be fitted between the drive and the soundcard.

(If CD sound stops when you uncheck Digital Play, the volume in the mixer may be turned down for the analog input, or there may be no audio cable fitted in the system.)

Ok well my motherboard is an Nvidia something, I'm not exactly sure, but the soundcard would most likley be Nvidia too. Is there anyway to check what your sound card is? And im not talking about CD audio, I'm actually talking about ANY audio in general makes the static noise. MP3's too. The problem seems to happen after i come back from STAND BY mode in Windows XP...If i resintall drivers then restat the problems fixed. I go to bed with it on Stand by, come back in the morning, and the problem persists!
